Grandma and the Wonder Wires

When Grandma arrives in a new city she has neither a basket nor a suitcase, only a pair of knitting needles and lots of tubers of wonder threads. Since she has nowhere to live she knits herself a nice house with chairs and a bed, a kettle and cups, and even a pair of cute and naughty grandchildren.
The trouble starts when the mayor does not agree to accept the strange children to school.
