Edison Grimm goes through the night door again to the underworld to help his friends and thwart the plots of his enemies. After escaping the Baron Opel and the underworld, Edison Grimm and his sister Tesla are back home, where they are protected. But then their friend Knox comes to visit and she needs urgent help on the other side of the night door.
Edison and Tesla (and one other naughty hamster named Snorkel) enlist for the mission without hesitation. Beyond the door of the night, they will find themselves in a city that is in complete darkness and will meet a new and surprising friend named Spot. Together they will try their best to bring back the light to the city and the residents, who will soon be crushed under darkness.
