Invitation to the exhibition
At the entrance to the municipal theater is the exhibition of Igor Tarchowski's paintings. This is his first solo exhibition in Israel and will be on display for about 6 weeks.
The name of the exhibition, "Every Landscape is a Souvenir," corresponds and resonates with Haim Hefer's poem, written for a well-known Russian folk tune. As in the poem, which describes longing for the landscape and memory, so Igor's paintings express his love for nature and the landscapes of the Land of Israel. The exhibition, which will be on display for about a month and a half, is curated by artist Ora Haim, who also initiated the gallery three and a half years ago.
Igor was born in 1957 in Gomel, Belorussia, and immigrated to Israel with his family in the early 1990s. He grew up in a family between two brothers, a big sister and a younger brother. There is a good and good connection between them, and his two brothers are also living in Israel today. His sister Elizabeth Trachovsky writes poetry, and she also lives and breathes art, spirit and soul.
