Common questions
1. Currently, is the fiery killer an active band?
- Definitely. Although due to the geographical distances between us (drummer Jerusalem, guitarist Tel Aviv, vocalist and bassist Haifa), we rarely meet. When we are invited to a show, we meet for one or two rehearsals a few days before the show, and that's it. It is enough. Because the songs are already in our DNA.
2. Do you record? Is a new album expected?
- After the release of the comeback album in 2012, we started working on a new album. Almost all of his songs were ready as early as 2013, but then bassist Ofer Stroll returned to live in Haifa, ending his recording studio in Tel Aviv, and his band's weekly sessions. Since then, we have worked here and there with him in Haifa, and we have completed the recordings more or less. The songs went through mastering, and you could say that we could have released a new album long ago. Invested and cool. But ... times have changed. Discs are not economic. Whatever the technology, they are out. Only a few have the option of playing them.
3. Can and where to get the band's old vinyl album - 'Knock the Whites'?
- This album was released in 1985. Only a few hundred copies were printed. According to rumors - only 300, but we never received data (nor paid) from the Helicon record company, which distributed it.
Today it is an item for collectors and priced accordingly. Sometimes some copy goes to thrift stores or the Internet. The highest price we came across was NIS 1,700. It may soon be on sale, at the most for the price, one such completely virgin album that has never met a turntable needle. If you have a kidney to sell to get it, it's time ...
4. Is there any chance you will print a current edition of 'Knock the Whites', in light of the resurgence of vinyl records?
- There is a chance. And there is talk of that. There is a debate as to whether to release the album exactly in its historical format, or with a certain change and perhaps with additions. You are welcome to comment.
5. Why were so many players in the band replaced?
- The band has undergone some reincarnation, and it's worth reading the " true story " carefully to understand each case. And besides, the band has been around since 1976 ... players left, musicians immigrated abroad, musicians even passed away.
6. What does Monica Sex do today?
- Nothing to do with music. Live her life and miss the past, like all of us. She lives in Omer with her husband Meir Levy, formerly the band's keyboardist. They have two sons, and recently she became a grandmother !! But stayed as beautiful as then !!
7. How is the disc version of Knock the Whites different from the vinyl record?
- The 2010 release, which includes two discs, is a compilation of all the songs and singles recorded until the current comeback. The first disc includes all original album songs + 5 new and / or re-recorded songs in 2010. The second disk has 14 ?? Songs and singles recorded during 1981-1985, 1991-1993. In total, the double album has 25 songs?. ??
8. According to the rumors, you were really wild at the shows (both the music and the SHOW
